Bowl fever is starting to hit as the college football season hits the home stretch. There are only three undefeated teams (Ohio State, Kansas, and Hawaii) left as Boston College and Arizona State suffered their first loss of the season. The Bowl controversy should start to heat up, as there are now 3 undefeated teams and 9 teams with only one loss.

The best payout percentage against the spread this last weekend was for the away favorites going 12-5 for a payout percentage of 70.59%. The next highest payout percentage was for the favorites going 31-21 for a payout percentage of 59.62%. 3rd place goes to the home favorites going 19-16 for a payout percentage of 54.29%. The other over 50% payout percentage was for the away teams going 28-24 for a payout percentage of 53.85%. For Over/Under games there were more Over games, 27-24, as the Over games had a payout percentage of 52.94%.

It is interesting that against the spread for the season the away teams and home teams are even both having payout percentages of 50%.
