Well now the BCS is officially in chaos. Ohio State lost and there are now 8 teams that have one loss and the only undefeated teams are the unlikely ones of Kansas and Hawaii. LSU is back at number one after a few weeks off from the top spot. They can thank Illinois for knocking Ohio State from the top of the mountain.
For the weekend all the payout percentages were around 50%. The highest payout percentage against the spread over the weekend was the away dogs going 15-12 for a payout percentage of 55.56%. The second highest payout percentage was the dogs going 29-24 for a payout percentage of 54.72%. In third place for the weekend was the home dogs going 14-12 for a payout percentage of 53.85%. All the dogs' categories were over 50% for the weekend meaning all the favorites were under 50%. It was a weekend where there were many high scoring games. There were 32 Over games, against 20 Under games, for a payout percentage of 61.54%.
Season Betting Numbers
Talk about being even all the categories for against the spread for the season are in the payout percentage rage of 48% -52%. For the entire season the highest payout percentage is for the home dogs, as they have gone 101-94 for a payout percentage of 51.79%. The next highest payout percentage is for the dogs, as they have gone 290-275 for a payout percentage of 51.33%. Rounding out third place for the season is the away dogs, as they have gone 189-181 for a payout percentage of 51.08%. Just like this last weekend all the dogs' categories have a payout percentage of over 50% and the favorites under 50%. For the season there has been 297 Under games, against 299 Over games, for a payout percentage of 50.18%.
