With #1 LSU losing on Friday evening to Arkansas it actually cleared up the National Championship picture, well just a little. If West Virginia and new #1 Missouri both win they will play in the National Championship game. Other BCS spots are still up for grabs with many big games on tap for this weekend.
Last week many of the payout percentages against the spread hovered around the 50% mark. The highest payout percentage last week was for the away dogs going 17-13 for a payout percentage of 56.67%. The second highest payout percentage was for the dogs going 26-20 for a payout percentage of 56.52%. In third place was the home dogs going 9-7 for a payout percentage of 56.25%. This is another week where all three dogs categories had payout percentages of over 50%. There were 24 Over games, against 21 Under games, for a payout percentage of 53.33%.
Season Betting Numbers
For the season against the spread all the payout percentages are between 47% and 53%. The highest payout percentage for the season is for the home dogs, as they have gone 110-101 for a payout percentage of 52.13%. Next highest payout percentage is for the dogs, as they have gone 319-296 for a payout percentage of 51.63%. Rounding out third for the season is the away dogs, as they have gone 206-195 for a payout percentage of 51.37%. Much like this last weekend all the dogs' categories still continue to have a payout percentage of over 50% and all the favorites' categories under 50%. For the season there have been 304 Over games, against 296 Under games, for a payout percentage of 50.50%.
