NCAA Betting Report - Week Six

This last weekend in the NCAA was much like last weekend with several big upsets, none bigger than USC losing to Stanford. This will shake up the BCS outlook as there is one less unbeaten team. Against the Vegas spread home dogs had the best week going 14-3 for a payout percentage of 82.35%. Last weekend, and for the second straight week, the against the spread dogs bettors fared well going 38-16 for a payout percentage of 70.37%. Conversely the two lowest payout percentages were for the away favorites and the favorites. The third highest payout percentage went to the against the spread away dogs going 24-13 for a payout percentage of 64.86%. Many underdogs played well enough to cover the majority of the spread this last weekend. There were more low scoring games this last weekend with the Under games paying out more. Overall there was 29 Under games (55.77%) and 23 Over games (44.23%)
The Against the spread betting could not be more even across the board as payout percentages all hovered around the 50% range. The biggest payout percentage against the spread is for the home dogs going 52-42 for a payout percentage of 55.32%. And therefore the lowest payout percentage is for the away favorites going 42-52 for a 44.68%. All the other payout percentages are right around 50% for the season. Straight up the favorites had the best payout percentages but may not have won with the Vegas throughout the season. For Over/Under for the season the stats are: Over games (155 wins 52.36%) vs. Under games (141 wins 47.64%)
