NFL Spread Betting Report - Week 10

There were many upsets this last weekend in the NFL, as against the spread the home teams did not do well, especially the home favorites. The biggest surprises this last week was San Diego beating Indianapolis, The St. Louis Rams finally getting a victory over the hot New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Falcons beating the Carolina Panthers. The Pittsburg Steelers were almost added to this list but pulled out a squeaker against Cleveland.
Again the spread the highest payout percentage was for the away favorites going 3-1 for a payout percentage of 75%. The away teams had the next highest payout percentage of 71.43% going 10-4. The away dogs had a good week going 7-3 for a payout percentage of 70%. The dogs had the only other payout percentage over 50% going 8-6 for a payout percentage of 57.14%. There were 8 Over games, against 6 Under games, for a payout percentage of 57.14%.
For the season the highest payout percentage against the spread is for the away dogs, as they have gone 51-41 for a payout percentage of 56.84%. The next highest payout percentage is for the dogs, as they have gone 80-63 for a payout percentage of 55.94%. Rounding out third place for the season is the home dogs, as they have gone 26-22 for a payout percentage of 54.17%. All the dogs have payout percentages over 50% for the season and all the favorites are under 50%. There is a dead heat for Over/Under games as there have been 70 Over games and 70 Under games so far this season.
