This last week in the NFL there were not upsets on Thanksgiving but a few on Sunday. The New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans all lost to teams under .500 hurting their playoff chances. The Patriots barely beat the Eagles to stay undefeated. Both the AFC and NFC have many teams that are still in the hunt as the season hits the home stretch. This is a big weekend in the NFL with two premier games of Green Bay (10-1) at Dallas (10-1) and Jacksonville (8-3) at Indianapolis (9-2).
This last weekend, and Thanksgiving, the highest payout percentage against the spread was for the away favorites who were perfect going 4-0 for a payout percentage of 100%. The next highest payout percentage was for the favorites going 11-5 for a payout percentage of 68.75%, Rounding out third for the week was the home favorites going 11-5 for a payout percentage of 58.33%. There were 9 Over games, against 7 Under games, for a payout percentage of 56.25%.
For the season against the spread the highest payout percentage is for the away dogs, as they have gone 59-50 for a payout percentage of 54.13%. The next highest payout percentage is a tie between the away teams and the dogs, as they have both gone 85-76 for a payout percentage of 52.80%. The Home dogs / Away favorites have a payout percentage of exactly 50%, as they have gone 26-26 for the season. There have been 80 Over games, against 78 Under games, for a payout percentage of 50.63%.
