Week 4 in the NFL had a pretty even week as there were no major losing payout percentages for the Against the Spread bettors. The biggest payout percentage against the spread was 66.67% going 6-3 in week 4. The home dogs had a good week going 9-5 for a payout percentage of 64.29%. The toughest hit of the week came form those betting away favorites against the Las Vegas spread as the teams went 3-6 for a payout percentage of 33.33%. For the second week in a row the bettors putting money on the dogs fared well as underdogs continue to win while teams such as Chicago, San Diego, and Baltimore struggled.
Week 4 Straight Up was pretty even across the board. The biggest payout percentage Straight Up was 66.67% and went to the home dogs. Because of this the lowest payout percentage Straight Up was 33.33% for away favorites going 3-6. Home underdogs continue to perform well in front of the hometown crowd.
For the season those betting on the dogs against the Las Vegas spread are doing well. The biggest payout percentage for the young NFL season goes to the home dogs going 14-7 for 66.67%. Overall against the spread the dogs are 40-22 for a payout percentage of 64.52%. Both away favorites and home favorites have payout percentages of under 40% as overall favorites against the spread are 22-40 for a payout percentage of 35.48%. With all the dogs covering the spread it makes the Straight Up payout percentages more even. Talk about even, the over/under payout percentage is exactly 50% with over teams with 30 games and under teams holding the same mark.
